[ayso45-refs] URGENT UPDATE re: Setting referee preferences

*Referees involved with U10 and older divisions,*

There was a global (all regions) database change in WebYouthSoccer late 
Monday night/early Tuesday morning.

Even if you have already set your referee preferences, please login and 
verify them again, /ASAP/:

    http://r45.webyouthsoccer.com    on the left side, 
"Referee->Preferences"

*Coach referees *and *youth referees*, this especially applies to you!

_*What changed?*_

    *(1)* First, all existing "Do not schedule against" settings were
    cleared
    *(2)* Then for referee parents of players on fall 2009 teams, "Do
    not schedule against" was set for all of your children's teams

_*Why?*_

    "Do not schedule against" settings from prior seasons were still in
    the database. Hundreds of referees were marked as "busy watching"
    matches that were not their own children's 2009 matches. This was
    causing major problems in referee scheduling.

_*What do you have to do?*_

    */Youth referees/*: if you are also an AYSO player this season, add
    your own team in the "Do not schedule against" field.

    */Coach referees/*: if you are coaching a team that does not have
    one of your own children on it, add that team in the "Do not
    schedule against" field. Please also add a comment in the "Special
    Instructions" field, something like:

        Coaching U14B-3; do not schedule for slots before/after U14-B-3
        matches

    so that the schedulers don't try to book you during your pre-game
    warmup or post-game debrief.

    */All referees/*: verify that the "Do not schedule against" field
    shows /all /teams during whose games you do not want to be scheduled
    to referee.

    *Note*: U10 team referees will still be ARs at every one of their
    own team's games, in region 45.  That is a regional procedure and
    has nothing to do with WebYouthSoccer referee preferences.

_*What else?*_

    While you are logged in, please re-verify the rest of your
    preference settings - especially your availability dates - as
    described in earlier emails (attached below for convenience).


Apologies to those who had already set their preferences correctly.  
This data reset was done across all regions that use WebYouthSoccer, not 
just region 45. Please take a couple of minutes to update/verify your 
preferences.
