All very good points especially about AYSO coaches, players, and 
consistency.

I doubt it will take that long.  :-)

Seriously ... the silence on this forum so far is because there has been 
a very active side-channel discussion among the area and section senior 
officials and senior trainers. Even reaching out to the USSF law 
interpreters. Both about what is "correct" and what variations (if any) 
may be age and competition-level appropriate.

Look for an official summary response for our AYSO community later this 
week.
