Hello Coaches,

Welcome to the AYSO Region 45 Fall 2010 soccer season and thank you for
volunteering to coach!
AYSO Region 45's annual Coaches' Meeting for Under-7 through Under-14
coaches is Saturday August 7th starting promptly at 10:45am at Springer
Elementary School (see below for details). Please make every effort to
attend as many volunteer hours have already gone into making soccer happen
for 2,000 kids and there is information which you will need to hear first
hand. In the event you are out on vacation or simply cannot attend, please
plan on meeting up with your Division Coordinator upon your return.
If you have not yet turned in your AYSO volunteer paperwork to your Division
Coordinator or some other board member for ID verification, please
pre-register ahead of time through eAYSO and bringing 2 copies to the
meeting and please arrive early (starting at 10am) and volunteers will be
present to collect this (collection will stop at 10:45am and will not resume
until lunch). Detailed instructions can be found at www.ayso45.org by
selecting VOLUNTEER then REGISTRATION.
For Under-6 coaches, your Coaches' Meeting is scheduled for Saturday August
28th at 3:00pm at Bubb Elementary School and more details will be sent out
sooner to the event.
For Under-16 and Under-19 coaches, Scott, your division coordinator, will
meet with you separately.

AYSO National has mandated that all coaches be certified to the level that
they coach. We are offering U8 and U12 training on August 7th in conjunction
with the coaches meeting.  For U8 coaches the training is in the morning
before the meeting and for U12 coaches the training is split into two
sessions around the mandatory meeting.  For U14 and above you should take
the intermediate training offered at the area level, please consult the
training calendar on www.ayso45.org by selecting COACHES then TRAINING for
dates.
If you are already certified at or above the level of the team(s) you are
coaching, you do not need to re-take the training.

If you are not certified your team will not be allowed to go to any
tournaments (applicable for U12 and U14).

The easiest way to find the course is to input the roster number listed
below when you select "Enroll to take a class".

8:15 to 8:30               U12 registration

8:30 to 10:30             U12 training - 1st half

10:45 to 12:45           classroom portion of training + coaches' meeting

12:45 to 1:00             Meet with Division Coordinator
1:00 to 3:00               U12 training - 2nd half
Note: U12 training is a pre-requisite for taking the Intermediate Coach
Certification course.

The field training at 8:30AM-10:30AM and 1:00PM-3:00PM will be run by UK
International Soccer Camps dba AYSO Camps. We will have a sign in sheet at
the field. U10/U12 coaches will need to attend both the morning and
afternoon sessions.

If you are not Safe Haven for Coach certified, please take this course
on-line at www.aysotraining.org *before* your training session.
U6 and U8 Training is also being offered locally on Saturday August
28th at Bubb
