Hello Coaches,
If you have come across any defective balls, please notify your Division
Coordinator. We have a collection of data process, but are still waiting on
word back from Score on how they want us to handle obtaining replacements as
they are under warranty. We may need you to return defective balls to your
DC, but again, we are waiting to see if Score wants them returned or simply
disposed of.
PLEASE DO NOT leave your balls in the trunk of your car. The Ligas (size 3
balls used for U6, U7 and U8 and the size 4 balls used for U10) have been
particularly vulnerable to splitting at the seems if they become
dramatically over inflated which can happen if your car interior or trunk
reaches 120 degrees. The Mercurys (size 4 for U12 and size 5) appear to be
much more resiliant but then they should be as they cost 50% more per unit
than the Ligas (which look cooler to the young kids).
Also, please lubricate needs while inflating the balls as they are less
likely to have a valve malfunction.
We will inform you on the replacement ball policy once Score gets back to
us. Division Coordinators have a very small inventory of extra balls as we
order one ball per player, but we don't order very many spares beyond that.
Thanks,
Drew
